Today, I came across an article that outlines a detox diet that can help eliminate all the toxins inside your body in as quickly as 3 days! Please note, not all people can follow this diet – only those who are physically fit and have no underlying health conditions.

“This diet is primarily composed of fruits and vegetables meals. There will be no grains, meat, or any processed foods into your menu list for three days. This is the reason why people with heart diseases, diabetes, or kidney problems can't follow this diet. Their body will be deprived of certain nutrients that they need within the three days. If you follow this diet and you're sick of something, your condition may worsen. To be sure, ask your doctor about it.

Fruits and vegetables are very high in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Antioxidants are elements that can flush out free radicals from the body. That's the primary reason why this is the most prescribed detox diet. By feeding yourself with fruits and vegetables, you are providing it with most of the essential nutrients, while whisking away all the impurities in the blood and in the system.
Never eat anything that can't be considered either a fruit or a vegetable and buy fresh fruits and vegetables only. When you prepare vegetables, be sure that you don't put oil or seasonings to it. Your food may taste bland, but that's part of it. You would want to eat your meals in their most natural form – no seasonings, no oils, and no salt. If you don't know it yet, these things can also add up to the toxins you have in your body. So after completing the 3 day detox diet, it is only right that you slowly cut them out of your meals.”

But the detox diet won’t simply work like a magic charm! In order to fully rid your body of toxins, it’s best to complement your diet with light exercises and by drinking lots of water. Also, the biggest challenge of a 3-day detox diet is food craving. The article goes on to explain how people can battle their cravings:

“Make sure that your major meals are heavy vegetable meals. Eat grilled carrots, baked potatoes, and steamed lettuce until your stomach is full. Take a big banana for dessert and a fresh fruit juice to seal your detox meal with. If you crave for snacks, eat an apple or a pear. Do this for three straight days and you will definitely feel the program's cleansing effect.
Whenever you have the urge to drink a soda or eat some cookie, brush your teeth and rinse with a mouthwash. The craving should go with the disinfected taste of your mouth.”
